The seashore, plantations, and historic battlefields characterize the Gulf Coast as a trip you won't want to put behind you. Add to that the tastes of southern seafood and this trip will be etched in your mind forever. The first stop lands you in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, where you can visit the John C. Stennis Space Center, NASA's primary site for rocket testing. The trip continues to Biloxi, Mississippi's oldest town, which was founded in 1699 by the French. The next stop along the Gulf Shore will lead you across the state line into Alabama. In the city of Mobile Bay, Alabama, you can pay a tribute to the great battleship Alabama and submarine Drum, both of which are now World War II museums at Battleship Memorial Park.
