Description
Dried up and forgotten, blown away with the winds, these are towns inhabited only by ghosts. Utah is full of ghost towns. Mining communities mostly, some of them had big populations and lots of stores. Saloons and dance halls and maybe a theater where the vaudevillians played. Maybe even the ultimate status symbol: an opera house. When the mine ran out, the people moved away. Can you hear the echo of the children playing in the streets? The barking of the dogs? The voices of neighbors whispering through windowless casements in broken down buildings? It's only the wind. Nobody's here. Or maybe there's still someone hanging on. Maybe there's another ghost-seeker like you. Just remember, services out here can be few and far between so be sure to stock up on gas and water (for you and your car). You should also consider bringing along a cell phone.
