Description

Myrtle Beach has become a beloved family vacation destination. Home to 60 miles of uninterrupted beaches, the boardwalk has become the gateway to what TravelingJules described as “a bazillion things to do.”

There are four regions of Myrtle Beach, which offer a slightly different travel experience. Central Myrtle Beach is close to the airport and features several oceanfront hotels and resorts. It’s close to endless shopping and dining options, as well as the Myrtle Beach State Park. North Myrtle Beach offers campgrounds and the Grand Strand area, which encompasses Windy Hill, Crescent Beach, Ocean Drive, Cherry Grove, Atlantic Beach and Little River areas.

When I visited last year it was a beautiful beach and had lots of activities to do with the family. It was very comfortable strolling around the place and checking out local restaurants.

Myrtle Beach has over 60 miles of beach fun much to the delight of beachgoers who, like me, keep coming back because of it's beauty, accessibility, and activities for all, young and old. Myrtle Beach has that laid back southern hospitality with a kick of excitement in all directions. Whether your thing is sun and sand, family activities or a night out to one of the many fun spots, you will fall in love with this gem too. And, if you get stuck with a rainy day, no problem, Myrtle Beach has that covered too. One of the great off-beach places to stroll and dine is at Broadway at the Beach, an over-the-lake scenic 'mall' with unique and fun shops, cool dining (Senor Frogs, Margaritaville, Hard Rock, Planet Hollywood, you name it, it's here) and boardwalks to peruse your way through the facility. Myrtle Beach also has nightly entertainment at the Carolina Opry, with great shows to please the young and old, Legends - a place where you can see your favorite star perform via look-a-likes and Midievel Times, a dinner/show with horses, jousting and comedy. As for beauty, take it from this photographer, Myrtle's beauty is breathtaking and serene with tall wispy grass and glistening ocean waves that takes away all of your regular world thoughts and puts you in the place you want to be. Catch a sunrise there and you'll know....
