Known as both the Gateway to the Sequoias and the Jewel of the Valley, Visalia lies in the center of the San Joaquin Valley nearby both Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Parks. The location is perfect for every variety of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, golfing, camping, fishing, boating, or skiing.

Visalia boasts something for everyone from the Tulare County Symphony in the Fox Theatre to a Rawhide baseball game at Recreation Park. With 50 murals around town, Visalia embraces local art. The town hosts an annual spoof called Sofa Art, an Arts Market, a “Trash to Fashion” Earth Day fashion show, and exhibits throughout local businesses.

Visitors can take the free trolley down Main Street to some of the highly acclaimed restaurants including Alejandra’s, Figaro’s, Vintage Press, and Jack and Charlie’s. Locals also boast of great produce from farmer’s markets to fruit stands and cheese farms. Visalia’s known for world famous sweet oranges and offers varied agriculturally themed tours.

Visalia is one of the greatest little gems in CA. Not only are there a plethora of fabulous restaurants, but the people of Visalia are kind and some of the most phenomenal people you'll meet. Main Street is quaint and bustling with activity, great shops, local restaurants and an up-and-coming music scene.

As the "gate way to the sequoias", Visalia has many delicious eateries along the way. Tazzaria is a local favorite with great coffee and the best home made and good-for-you baked goods. Stop in for dinner on the weekends and try a few of their decadent and unique tappas. Always the best!

This is a little town with a lot to offer. You'd be missing something if you didn't stop here on your way to the Sequoia's.

Visalia has the best locally owned, high quality, diverse cuisine of any small town. I had 25 well traveled colleagues from around the world here for five days. They were very impressed to be able to eat at a wide variety of establishments serving superior food and drink and all locally owned. Each of the owners created a personal touch that added to the experience and set our Visalia restaurants at a higher level from other cities. A truly special treat to live here and these establishments available every day of the year.
