I have lived in Arvada my entire adult life and now my grown sons, 27 and 28 years both own homes and live here in Arvada. Arvada really is the best of all worlds. It's equally close to downtown Denver as it is to the beautiful Rocky Mountains. with it's wonderful schools, beautiful Standley Lake nearby as well as many other beautiful lakes, bike and hiking trails, the Arvada Center for the performing arts, restaurants, movie theaters, houses of worship etc. It's got direct and easy access to all the major highways as well as to Denver International Airport. And easy access to public transportation, with light rail to be completed soon. Arvada is a wonderful, unspoiled, eclectic gem and a true pleasure to live in as well as to visit.

I was raised in Arvada and came back to raise my daughter. There is a little bit of everything. Close to the city but with all the small town benefits. Love the family oriented activities in Olde Town Arvada-from the farmers Market to the Harvest Festival or Second Saturdays. Always so much going on and a quick drive to the mountains or downtown.

My husband and I both grew up here in Arvada, CO. We even attended the same elementary school together. When it came time to buy a home and raise our family, we knew we wanted to live in Arvada. We love it here. It has superior beauty unlike any place on earth. The schools are in the Jefferson County Public Schooling system which have been one of the best in the nation for years running. Arvada is close to our capitol, Denver but rests quietly under the breathtaking foothills of the Rocky Mountains. You have a view from anywhere in town reminding you of your paradise. You can literally work downtown, go on a hike and have dinner with your family all in a days time. Everywhere in Arvada you are reminded that you are in Colorado. With absolutely breathtaking views all over the city, nature areas, hiking trails, parks, museums, live music and art, Arvada is a diamond among gems. We are not just a small town, in Arvada you get a wonderful sense of community. Close knit ties with outreach projects and a clean respect for our mountainous region keeps Arvada an amazing place to live with unsurpassed beauty. Most of the people I meet in Arvada are life long residents, want to be residents or have moved back here after being residents somewhere else and wanted to come back home to Arvada to raise their own family, like we did. That's why living in Arvada is living in the best small town in the USA!

I've grown up all around the Denver Metro Area, as well as Concord, MA (another small town). However, I always come right back to Arvada. I love it here. The people are friendly, the environment is peaceful, and the place is beautiful. Olde Town is especially pleasing with the wide array of shops, dining, and activities. The Rocky Mountains are just minutes away, making for an incredible background. There's a place in Arvada for everybody.
