Lewiston’s proximity to Niagara Falls in the Niagara River region makes for a mix of outdoor recreation, history, shopping and food and wine. While a trip to the falls is a must, the Niagara River provides the perfect setting for picnicking, hiking and white water rafting. Visitors often come to boat and fish as well, with biking, cross-country skiing, Frisbee golf and swimming also available.

At Niagara Falls take a boat tour on the famed Maid of the Mist or aim for an aerial view with a helicopter ride. Then head to the Niagara County Wine Trail where over a dozen wineries offer tours, tastings and year round events. Visit in July for the Annual Wine and Culinary Festival or September for Harvest Fest, amongst others.

Lewiston has a rich history for its role in the War of 1812 and the Underground Railroad. Tour Old Fort Niagara or The Lewiston Museum to go back in time, or visit one of three local theatres and Artpark in the summers for entertainment and creativity showcased. Our Lady of Fatima Shrine is another cultural attraction with scenic and spiritual significance.

Most importantly, Lewiston’s dining is enough of a draw on its own. Our team’s favorite stops included Orange Cat Coffee Company, Tommy George’s Village Coffee House, Mangia Café and Bakery, Village Bake Shoppe, Brickyard, Apple Granny, Hibbard’s Custard, Macri’s Italian Garden and six other fantastic finds. See where locals love to eat in Lewiston’s reviews.

So what can you say about Lewiston. The whole little town is an adventure that everyone can find something to do! Great food, bars, views and entertainment all year round. Grab a drink at the Brickyard or the Village Pub and you can never go wrong with some Dicamillo's bread!!! Plus all summer long there is something going on. They have art shows, festivals, music or you can just take a walk down center street and stop in at all the shops. Gotta love this place!!!

Lewiston has every type of food venue you could wish! From fine dining on the beautiful Niagara River and Center Street to BBQ, pizza and pubs, it is all here. Formal or casual, there is a venue for every taste and pocketbook from Greek-American to all around informal burger joints. The Village's one square mile includes many entertainment areas from Artpark music and theater productions to Whirlpool Jet boating on the Niagara River...all within walking distance of our many eating establishments. Come visit...you'll want to stay!

There are not enough words to say about this great village. It is the most historic square mile in America. It is my home town and after moving away due to employment, I can't express how much I miss living there. I have not found as good of a pizza anywhere else. There are so many events to see and be part of. Visitors will find that the people in Lewiston are extremely genuine and always willing to help. The food is the best and you won't ever go hungry. Stop in to Hops and Vines on center street to enjoy craft brewed beers and fine wines. The Brickyard has the greatest bbq and atmosphere in town. Go fishing at the sand docks. Or just enjoy a walk through town. I have nothing but great respect for Lewiston. I love and miss it much.

Lewiston has the greatest restaurants to meet everyone's need. From fine dining to family pizzerias! Where else can you have a fantastic fancy dinner or eat an ice cream cone with a view like the Niagara River. Lots of festivals, music and art. A great and winning combination.

Lewiston is a beautiful place to take a stroll and has the most amazing food! I do not dislike one restaurant that they have. There is something for everyone's taste. They have barbecue places, old fashioned places, chinese, and a ton of pizza. My favorites are the Silo where you can get hot dogs and their signature the haystack! I also enjoy Apple Grannys, Brio's and you cannot go wrong with DiCamillos bakery! If you need a quick stop for a dessert or some bread for your dinner, DiCamillos is the place to go. If you are in the mood for entertainment and a drink go to Hops N Vines bar. It is super friendly and relaxing. Their prices are great and the atmosphere is just what you need when you want to relax, and enjoy a good time with friends. I suggest going to Lewiston and trying their many delicious meal time places. They are friendly, clean, and you just have an overall great experience at them all.
