We live within 5 miles of Fort Drum, which is a very busy Army Base. We've lost many soldiers to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Most businesses will lower their flag to show their respect for the loss of our soldier "family". We have a program through Ft. Drum that's called Adopt a Platoon, whereas many organizations, businesses, churches and individuals will adopt a Platoon and write them, send them packages, Christmas presents, etc. Which lifts their morales. These soldiers many times, become our families either living near us or attending our churches. Please keep us in mind for the Most Patriotic City in America.

Not many, but a few businesses offer military discounts...daily. Considering NY state tax is insane, the 10% is much appreciated for our budgeting. Small things make a big difference. :) It is these few businesses that we choose to spend our money.

Patriotism and support of our Military, locally and abroad has touched everyone in the Watertown area, as well as the nation in one way, or another. We have given much, we have lost much, but the sacrifices that have been made were not in vain. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "One Nation Under God!" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "GOD BLESS AMERICA!" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
