Punta Gorda resides on the shores of Charlotte Harbor, one of the most beautiful shorelines in Florida. The town's coastline is probably the prettiest in the entire state of Florida because there are no tall skyscapers to mar its beauty. Buildings are kept to a few stories high. The town is deserving of being labeled a 'best small town' because of the effort put into landscaping and pathways throughout the municipality and along the waterfront. There is always something fun to do at no extra cost or low cost.

Punta Gorda is a diamond that is just starting to shine. An old town that was a sleeper until hurricane Charley (first n many years) blew through in 2004 transforming a sleepy bedroom retirement community to a beautiful art rich haven for people to enjoy. There is an abundance of accomplished local artist, musicians and other artist's original works to be found in the shops. Located on a beautiful harbor, the town is made for walking and bicycles. Everyone should experience Punta Gorda.

While having modern conveniences: plenty of free parking, great restaurants and shops, this is still a beautiful, charming Small Florida town.
