Punta Gorda, a beautiful community. Affordable housing on Charlotte Harbor. 2nd lowest crime rate in the State of Florida. Best farmers market, nationally award winning Marina at Fishermen's Village. Wonderful bike paths. Lots of delicious restaurants. Best fishing. We are waiting for you.

After coming down to visit year after year, my wife and I bought property in Punta Gorda. Upon retirement we built our home and have been extended snow birds for over five years. Punta Gorda is a beautiful and well run town. The events downtown are very friendly and civic minded, we even fly back in the summer for the 4th of July activities and fireworks on the river. Nice people, bars, restuarants and even go to church at Sacred Heart. PG is fine by us.

I live in Port Charlotte just seven miles north of Punta Gorda which is where my office is. Every morning I travel over the Hwy 41 Bridge Southbound over gorgeous Charlotte Harbour. The water glistens from the sunrise on the still waters, I have my lunch in one of the wonderful downtown restaurants and sometimes before ending my day I meet friends for a drink at the Tiki Hut behind the Four Points Hotel or the Lashley Crab House. We watch the sunset and then head north over the bridge to go home. Weekends offer all kinds of fun things to do from hanging out on the docks, bicycling on the ring around Punta Gorda, shopping at Fisherman's Village or jumping into your car and head for the mall only minutes away in Port Charlotte. If you are a golfer, there are many beautiful courses, if you prefer to fish, well there are walking docks, boat docks, fishing boats, motor boats and Boat Clubs. Punta Gorda really does have it all!
