Simply the best place to live. Over 5000 historic structures, a ridiculously rich music heritage, 3 colleges and universities, arts, etc. And the nicest people you can find.

Macon gives you the best of ALL worlds. Great night life/Entertainment, great food and a wonderful history. And since Macon is in the center of Georgia, you can get to the mountains or the beach in a matter of a few hours. Who could ask for more!

Macon is a place where everyone is connected and seems like family. I am blessed to have found a place I can call home, being from NYC. Macon is my adopted city and I could not think of a better place to move to. Rich in musical history and historical sights, it has all a city could offer along with affordable housing, city parks and Mercer College Campus all within reach by transit.

Macon is just a "down home good town". In addition to the outstanding eateries, historical buildings, unbelievable architectural accents, deep rooted music history, Macon is a very friendly city. The city has been host to numerous movies, has an annual film festival that continues to grow, numerous festivals, and at the center of it all are the outstanding citizens of Macon.

We're known for having one of the "friendliest little film festivals" in the South. You can't walk our sidewalks without a gentle greeting from a neighbor or stranger. We boast a low cost of living with a high quality life. Part of that quality is our hometown folk. Southern charm still reigns in Macon, Georgia. Come see us sometime.
