Valdosta is known for southern hospitality and football, from the success of Valdosta State’s Division II program to the community’s support for local high school teams. Their claim-to-fame is being named TitleTown USA by ESPN, but they’re just as proud of their friendliness.

Local restaurants, like King’s Grill and Covington’s, are as warm and welcoming as the pristine Visitor’s Center. The town is also home to Wild Adventures, a wildlife-themed amusement park where Gone With the Wynn’s interacted with an assortment of animals. The town rallied together to properly host the Wynn’s because as one local said, “Nobody’s a stranger here.”

While in town be sure to visit Valdosta’s many homes on the Historic Register, check out the Peach State Summer Theatre Series, and explore the Remerton Historic Mill Village. The Crescent House and Gardens are a highly acclaimed scenic offering and Valdosta boasts plenty of shopping from the Valdosta Mall to Summit Pointe.

I am proud to be from Valdosta, GA and it will always be my home

Valdosta is a great, friendly college/military town with excellent sports programs and the winningest football team in America. The Valdosta Wildcats!

Members of the Valdosta community demonstrate the true meaning of "southern hospitality." Visitors are welcomed with warmth and friendliness, always. What better evidence of this than that so many who visit Valdosta, or who have been stationed at nearby Moody Air Force Base, return to this beautiful city to live!
