Also known as Aggieland, College Station is the home of Texas A&M University, which provides athletics, art and entertainment popular with the surrounding community while maintaining its own community of close to 50,000 students. The campus hosts the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum as well as football, basketball and baseball games that attract fans from all over the country.

In addition to the presidential library, the area offers the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, Brazos Valley African American Museum, the Texas A&M Sports Museum, Museum of the American G.I., and the Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley. Beyond sports and museums, Bryan-College Station also offers wineries, outdoor recreation around Bryan Lake, historic downtown Bryan, and diverse food and nightlife.

College Station has dozens of parks with an abundance of green space and opportunities to hike, bike, fish, picnic, or play. A variety of athletic facilities or fields and swimming pools make for an active and family-friendly community. These public spaces host craft shows, dance and music festivals, fitness workshops, and benefits throughout the year.

Local seasonal events include the Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival in October with food, wine, art and music; Messina Hof’s annual Harvest Festival celebrating wine in July and August; and the Brazos Valley Farmers Market promoting local food and agriculture twice a week year-round. There's no place else I'd rather be! (Unfortunately life has taken me elsewhere, but I return as often as I can for a friendly "HOWDY!" and some fine southern hospitality!)

GREAT College Town. Lots to do if you are into sports, musical events, plays, or speeches. Everyone should come and visit. It also has the BEST Hobby/Toy store in Texas. HobbyTown USA. Great place for model trains, airsoft supplies, RC cars, RC Planes, RC Helis, games, board games, tabletop games, puzzles and much more! When you do visit College Station, stop by and see this GREAT store

I never thought I would leave my home town in the panhandle of Texas, but now that I have made College Station my new home, I wonder why it took me so long to get here. I have traveled through most of Texas and can verify that there is no friendlier place in the whole state! WHOOP!
