Watertown, NY, the home of the 10th Mountain Division is a very American town! It has beautiful, old architechture and has a history that is unparelled regarding patriotism! Our Armed Forces Day Parade, Flag Day observances and Veterans Day ceremonies as well attended. When neighbors return home from deployment, it is not just their own home that is decorated with yellow ribbons and welcome home banners, their neighbors also display their gratitude! American flags are proudly displayed on homes throughout our small city. Our Army neighbors are honored by Yellow Ribbon events nearly every weekend. The USO is active and visible within our community aswell. Whatever the celebration in our city, the Army is always present. We have a shared value of loyalty and reverence for our nation. I have been out eating in local restaurants on more than one occassion when I have witnessed someone pay for a service person's meal. We love our country and our service members!
