Most of us take for granted what is right around us, but Watertown is a military community. Everything is military based! Flags flying at almost all businesses and homes, yellow ribbon events, and parades. Welcome home ceremonies and fence art. Most communities can't say that they are the home of the 10th Mountain Division

Watertown is definitely amongst one of the most Patriotic towns in USA. Home to the celebrated 10th Mountain Division, it hosts a true, deep in the heart shared community with the military that is unlike any other military town. MIlitary and civilian alike share in celebrating honor, duty, country and create a very cohesive and mutually supportive neighborhood town. No wonder Watertown has the highest percentage of separating/retiring military whom chose to remain in town. In addition to the military, Watertown personifies the consummate American spirit - the farmers and rich soil, the incredible natural beauty and ample wildlife, the Snowtown USA, home to iconic built-from-scratch businesses such as CarFreshner--all that exemplifies the hard working, caring, loyal and resourcefulness that is part of the American spirit. Partiotism is devotion and loyalty to Country, and there is no better example of true devotion to American life than Watertown, NY.
