On top of being a Most Patriotic Town finalist, Duluth has won multiple City of Excellence awards and the Best of Gwinnett award in 2010. Founded in 1821 as a part of Gwinnett County, the citizens of Duluth take as much pride in the town's rich history as they do in its progress, hence the motto "Pride in Old and New."

Considered a suburb of Atlanta, Duluth has access to big city benefits while maintaining a small town feel. The town has retained this small town feel even with its phenomenal growth over the years. Duluth is also a designated Tree City because of the town's constant efforts to achieve an eco-friendly lifestyle. Duluth ranks 26th on Forbes' list of America's Best Places To Move.

The town is known for its variety of restaurants, namely the local favorite Rexall Grill, which is attached to Rexall Drugs. After a bite here, head to Crave Pie Studio for their famous Red White and Blue Pie. Don’t miss the Southeastern Railway Museum to see over 90 pieces of retired railroad equipment and to learn about Duluth's railway history.

Among the abundance of year round events, visitors will enjoy the Summer Stage concert series and the annual Duluth Music Festival each August, the No Reason Block Party, Duluth Staycation, and festivities for nearly every holiday. For more on this patriotic town, read locals' reviews.

It's difficult to imagine a more patriotic city than Duluth, Georgia. Each year the streets are lined with more than 500 markers and flags, representing those who served in the armed forces. The flags and markers are on display the weeks before and after Memorial Day and Veterans Day. As the daughter of a veteran who served in World War II, I am always touched by this tribute. Driving by my father's marker brings many wonderful memories. I am filled with pride to be part of a great city that shows its gratitude to our veterans in such a beautiful and elegant way.

I can't think of a more patriotic town than Duluth, GA. The city takes the upmost pride in honoring fallen soldiers, town heros, and current troops throughout the year.

Duluth is a great city that truly represents the best of America. With both pride and patriotism, Duluth celebrates small town America with incredible spirit. As the city is the location of the Southeastern Railway Museum, the state of Georgia's official transportation history museum, the city provides a look into America's roots. As well, with the modern growth that Duluth has also experienced, the city gazes into the future to imagine what we can become. From parades, festivals and celebrations held on the Town Green, Duluth can easily be considered an All-American town.

A community of warm, friendly, loyal, patriotic, and community oriented people. These folks are interested in developing this community, but protecting it's family-friendly atmosphere. Great schools, great parks, the best Festival anywhere, and a FIRST CLASS Hospital!
This community is thankful to our troops, faithful in their religious beliefs and has a huge volunteer base. It's a great place to visit, work and a wonderful place to live.
