The founding city of Veterans Day, Emporia has multiple war monuments and the All Veterans Memorial, celebrated by the annual All Veterans Week Tribute. There's also a university, home of the Hornets, and a quaint main street, featuring the historic Granada Theater, as well as a community bandstand with concerts in the summer. Acres of undeveloped prairie, the beautiful Flint Hills, surround the town, too- perfect for bicycle and motorcycle enthusiasts!
