Jefferson City is one of the hidden gems of the midwest. It has rolling hills, beautiful landscapes and great people. The Missouri River, as well as Binder Lake provide gorgeous get-a-ways from the typical city scape. The Capitol's beauty is an added bonus, with a great scape of gardens, fountains and monuments. The city really is unique, with great colors all-year round. Even after living in several other cities, both rural and urban, every time I cross over the Missouri River and view the Capitol in the horizon, I know I'm home.

#JCMO is such a great community. It has so much potential and beauty, set on the Missouri River. Also, it's a great town to visit, with many historic markers and stories, the Capital City of Missouri, it's a wonderful landing place for visitors.

The downtown area in particular, has done a wonderful job of recapturing the authenticity of the original design through careful research prior to any renovation. Appropriately planted trees with park benches give the area a warm welcoming feeling. In the original residential area of the town, elegant old homes are being restored thus extending the climate of the late 1800 and early 1900's. The entire city is well maintained and a joy in which to live and work.
