Description

Rapid City, SD hosts both Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, two must-see national landmarks. The town is as beautiful as it is patriotic, surrounded by the Black Hills, and is the home of Ellsworth AFB.

For a combination of history and beauty take in the scenery on Skyline Drive and visit the Berlin Wall exhibit, the Chapel in the Hills, the Badlands, and bronze statues of all of America’s presidents.

Visitors should take advantage of Downtown Rapid City. In addition to shopping and dining, the area is the Black Hills’ hub for local and regional art. Museums, numerous galleries, and a historic theatre are all located within a few blocks of each other downtown.

Rapid City is a beautiful area at the edge of the Black Hills.

It's the city of presidents and the gateway to the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore.

Rapid City is great because it has a small town feel with some of the luxuries of city life. We have everything here, from downtown shopping and wonderful restaurants, to community parades and the beautiful Black Hills to play in. The people here are friendly and go the extra mile for each other. It's a place where you know if your car breaks down or you get stuck in a snow bank, someone will pull over and help you for nothing in return. I am voting for Rapid City because I live here and I know the quality of the people who live here. If someone is in need or struck with an illness, the community pulls together to host a benefit or fundraising event. We are blessed to live in such a friendly town! Plus the beauty of the Black Hills is a spectacular aspect!

Rapid City is the City of Presidents, we have bronze presidential sculptures downtown. We are minutes from Mt. Rushmore and we celebrate our patriotism with a celebration in Memorial Park on the 4th of July
