Hertford, North Carolina

Reviews

Hertford is very unique, as you drive over the “S” bridge into town you leave all your stress on the other side. It is like driving back in time 50 years; at the time I lived there (20 years ago) the “dime” store still had wooden floors & overhead fans. Your first visit into any business establishment is a welcome, how are you visit, after that you are greeted by first name and how’s the family. The picture could have been taken out my front door, we lived on the Perquimans, sometimes IN the Perquimans depending on the tide. Even the same geese returned year after year with their families. Hertford is a small picture perfect town surrounded by the beautiful Perquimans River. Townspeople go out of the way to welcome visitors to town and our rich history.
