Sturgeon Bay is the busiest small town on the Door County peninsula. When entering Door County you will see orchards of the cherry trees. Another name for Door County is Cherryland and in July and August visitors to the area like to try picking their own cherries. If you are not into tryiing your hand at harvesting some cherries, be sure to indulge in some cherry pie and ice cream. Stop at the Maritime Museum, or drive by the shipbuilding industries in the main town.
Take a drive and view the steel bridge, historians are trying to save.
