Costa Mesa is the perfect weekend getaway destination. Sophisticated yet understated. Avenue of the Arts is amazing - the Segerstrom theater is a fantastic venue. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the sound is flawless. South Coast plaza is within walking distance and there are great restaurants all over the place. We ate at the Capital Grille and then had dessert at Mastros and sat at the bar. The Butter Cake is fiendishly good. Friendly people, easy drive to the beach, reasonable prices, great shopping. Perfect weekend getaway.
