I think it is such an honor to have my hometown nominated as a most patriotic city. One thing that puts Emporia above the other cities in consideration is the amount of patriotism without a military base nearby. Emporia is a great place to raise a family, great school system, and above all Emporia is patriotic. I joined the Air Force in Emporia over 10 years ago and feel blessed to call Emporia my home. When I return to Emporia to visit family I am greeted with great respect and treated like royalty as an active service member!
